\r\n ACHH consists of a History and Archives branch and the AMEDD Regiment.\r\n Although separate, the AMEDD Museum is a partner in the presentation and\r\n preservation of AMEDD History. ACHH collects, preserves, and interprets the\r\n history of the AMEDD in order to educate and inform, serving as a multifaceted\r\n resource for the history of the AMEDD.\r\n
\r\n\r\n The mission of the AMEDD Regiment is to enhance combat effectiveness by\r\n developing loyalty and commitment, fostering an extended sense of belonging,\r\n improving unit esprit, and institutionalizing the warfighting ethos. The\r\n Regiment provides services to perpetuate AMEDD history, heritage, traditions,\r\n valor and a sense of belonging.\r\n
\r\n\r\n These include the{' '}\r\n \r\n AMEDD Regimental Recognition Program\r\n {' '}\r\n (DMOR, HMOR, FOR), the{' '}\r\n Historical Uniform Loan Program, and\r\n an online repository of awards for valor, the only one dedicated exclusively\r\n to Army Medical Department Soldiers.{' '}\r\n AMEDD Awards for Valor.\r\n
\r\n\r\n The historians and archivist of ACHH gather, preserve, interpret and present\r\n the history of the AMEDD. They also provide historical support through\r\n publications, outreach, and other media. The history of the Medical Center of\r\n Excellence (MEDCoE) is collected as a part of these efforts. Encompassing\r\n AMEDD documents and files, the research collection in the Archives consists of\r\n over 250,000 items.\r\n
\r\n\r\n The mission of the U.S. Army Medical Department Museum is to collect,\r\n preserve, exhibit, and interpret historically significant property related to\r\n the history of the Army Medical Department from 1775 to the present. As an\r\n educational institution, the museum will support training and education for\r\n military and civilian personnel.\r\n
