CONCLUSION
The early pioneers in nursing blazed the trail which made
the Army Nurse Corps the first military nursing organization in the United States. Subsequent leaders brought these nurses from
the periphery in health care to their present position as a vital member of the Health Care Team.
The leaders and officers of today's Army Nurse Corps continue in that tradition to assure the highest quality of patient care to soldiers and their families in peace, war and humanitarian missions.
