Graduated from Santa Rosa Hospital School of Nursing, San Antonio, Texas in 1942
Received a B.S., Cum Laude, Incarnate Word College, San Antonio, Texas in 1954
Received a M.H.A., Baylor University, Waco Texas in 1960
Career:
Brigadier General Dunlap received her ANC commission in November 1942. Her overseas assignments included service in the Pacific and Europe. As the second Chief of the Corps to serve in the grade of general officer, her major contribution to the Corps rested in efforts to make the bachelor of science in nursing the standard professional preparation of military nurses. She received the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation with Oak Leaf Cluster among her awards and honors.
