Command Sergeant Majors of Health Services Command (HSC)/MEDCOM

CSM Clark served from February 2003 to July 2003 as the 13th Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Health Services Command/MEDCOM.

Command Sergeant Major Jack L. Clark Jr.

CSM Jack L. Clark Jr. attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, received his MOS training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Airborne school at Fort Benning, Georgia. His overseas assignments include one tour in Germany and one tour in Panama. CSM Clark's CONUS assignments include duty with the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York; Patterson Army Community Hospital, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey; and Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, New York, Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA, Western Regional Medical Command, Fort Lewis, WA.

Highlights of his assignments are: First Sergeant of HHC 142nd Medical Battalion, Panama; Senior Clinical NCO of Patterson Army Community Hospital, Fort Monmouth, NJ; Sergeant Major of the Division Medical Operation Center, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York; and Command Sergeant Major of Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point New York, Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA, Western Regional Medical Command, Fort Lewis, WA, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC, and the North Atlantic Regional Medical Command. CSM Clark deployed with the 82nd Airborne Division during Operation Urgent Fury, Operation Just Cause, and Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.  CSM Clark became the 13th individual to serve as the HSC/MEDCOM Command Sergeant Major. 

CSM Clark has attended numerous Army schools to include: Airborne School, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, the First Sergeant Course, the Sergeants Major Academy, Class 44, and the Command Sergeants Major Course. He holds a degree in Health Services from Methodist College.

His awards and decorations include, Combat Medic Badge, Expert Field Medic Badge, Parachutist Badge, Legion of Merit, three Meritorious Service Medals, four Army Commendation Medals, and the Order of Military Medical Merit.
